National Reference Group

The eSAY National Reference Group started in the first part of the eSAY project and is starting up again for the second part of the project. We would like to have some new members. The Group gives people with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorders and family carers the chance to get involved in the eSAY Project.

The group was first set up to allow people with learning disabilities and ASD and family carers to play an active role in the future of the Project.

What does the group do?

The Group Remit is:
  • To advise the eSAY Project Team on the development of the Project.
  • To assist SCLD and the Project Team to communicate effectively with people with learning disabilities, people with autistic spectrum disorders and family carers about the eSAY Project.
  • To review on behalf of the Project Team, the involvement of people with learning disabilities and people with autistic spectrum disorders and family carers in the Project and the usefulness of the Project to them.
  • To recommend ways in which the Project can improve the involvement of people with learning disabilities , people with autistic spectrum disorders and family carers.
  • To inform the Project Team about the issues and concerns people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders and family carers have about the Project.
  • To further the development of the Project by helping the Project Team with various tasks.

The Group will meet every three months and we hope to have our first meeting of the new group soon. If you can't make it along to the first meeting but would still like to be involved, please let us know.

If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in joining please contact Claire McCue on 0141 418 5420 or esay@scld.co.uk
